- We do not accept leather products.
- We generally cannot accept colored items. (except blue for re-dyeing)
- For items with chemicals and chemical dye : if the color comes out when washed with hot water, we will stop the process. and unfortunately cannot dye it with indigo.
- We do not accept fabrics that contain more than 30% chemical fibers. (If the fabric contains chemical fibers, the color will be much lighter than desired. The color will hardly cling).
- We may not be able to accept fabrics or products that are too large. (Longest side no larger than 230 cm)
- We don’t accept fabrics that cannot be washed at high temperatures.
- By boiling before dyeing, there is a possibility of deformation due to expansion and contraction of the fabric.
- We do not dye shoes, except for new felt slippers. We cannot be held liable if these have changed shape or shrunk after the dyeing process.
- Old fabrics may tear after dyeing due to wringing out.
- Depending on the nature of the fabric, buttons may come loose during the process, the fabric may fluff or lose its shape. (If you are concerned, please remove the button in advance.)
- Rust may form on metal parts (please remove as much metal as possible before shipping).
- The thread used for sewing clothing is usually made of polyester (chemical fiber), which is why the seams may remain pale.
- Indigo dyeing products may have a unique odor.
[About color]
- If you want a lighter color, you may have to wait 3 to 4 months depending on the condition of the indigo dayer’s vat.
- Color may not match 100%.
- Since each item is dyed by hand, uneven dyeing and color variations may occur. In some cases, staining may occur. This can be caused by various factors, e.g. residues of skin lotion, wax or oils that used fabrics may contain.
[when wearing and maintaining ]
- Please do not wash freshly dyed garments with other garments, as they may stain in the beginning.
- Friction can lead to color transfer. Therefore, do not wear it together with white or light-colored garments and make sure that the color is not transferred to bags, etc.
